International athletes often struggle to acclimate to their new environment in the United States. Coach BJ would receive calls daily from players seeking assistance in the following areas:
Cultural Adaptation - Overcoming language barriers, navigating different cities, where to meet new people
Development Resources - Connecting with skill development trainers, open gyms, local mentors, and more
Financial Support - Understanding the US financial system, personal budgeting, grocery shopping, financial planning
We're seeking to build a support network of benefactors across the world that are passionate about helping international students & athletes thrive in the US way of life.
Mentoring - Frequent conversation helps tremendously to overcome language barriers
Daily Needs - College students are needy. We want families that can assist with groceries, school supplies, and miscellaneous daily needs
Local "Host" Family - Ultimately, we seek to provide the things that students would feel more comfortable asking a family member rather than their university
